to this bogus name and from
them I culled out 46 that I
thought about the right age and
physical type, so I sent each
a copy of 'Gospel of Love' (ED.

sheet telling that I wanted a
mate who was somewhat in harmony with my views as expressed
in the booklet. A few days later I mailed each a copy of
'Bible Stories Ill.', and then
I got in touch with each one
by phone or letter and I got
rebuffed by about twoñthirds of
the ladies, some saying they
were not in harmony at all and
others saying they were n o t
interested, but out of the list
I got 16 who had become favorably impressed, most of them
saying they did not know such
things were in the Bible.
"I talked to all of them
several times and found that
all were doubters, now. Eight
of them I called upon personally and talked many times to
them by phone and all became
freethinkers.
"Each of the 76 who answered had said that she was religious and of the 16 who became freethinkers, six had been
Baptists, four Methodists, two
Christian, and one Lutheran.
"The Lutheran lady had belonged to that church for 50
years and she is now 60. She
is a very intelligent and attractive woman who never missed
a Sunday from church and was
the leader and driving force
behind most of the church activities. She does not attend
church any more and is as fine
a freethinker type of mind as
any reader of FACT. She isMrs.
